Put a lemon with salt on a plate, and then place in center of room. This hack will change your life

Life can sometimes become overwhelming, filled with stress and negativity. While there is no magic solution to all of life’s challenges, there are simple and natural methods that can help improve your environment and your mood.
One such method involves using a lemon and some salt. Surprisingly, this age-old trick can have a profound impact on your home and your life. In this article, we will explore how cutting a lemon into four slices with salt and placing them in the center of your room can bring about positive changes.

The Science Behind Lemon and Salt
To understand why this trick works, we need to explore the scientific principles behind the use of lemons and salt to improve the environment:

Lemon’s Antiseptic and Antibacterial Properties:
Lemons are well-known for their natural antibacterial and antiseptic properties, primarily due to their high acidity and the presence of compounds like citric acid and limonene. When lemon slices are placed in a room, they release these compounds into the air, effectively reducing the number of harmful bacteria and microbes present.

Lemon’s Aromatherapeutic Benefits:
The scent of lemon is more than just pleasant; it has been scientifically proven to have mood-enhancing and stress-reducing effects. The aroma of lemon can stimulate the production of serotonin, a neurotransmitter associated with feelings of happiness and well-being. This, in turn, can help reduce stress and anxiety, promoting a more relaxed and positive atmosphere in your home.

Salt’s Ability to Absorb Negative Ions:
Salt has a unique property of being able to absorb negative ions from the surrounding environment. Negative ions are often associated with feelings of discomfort, stress, and lethargy. By placing salt on the lemon slices and dispersing it into the room, you create an environment where the salt absorbs these negative ions, leading to a more balanced and harmonious atmosphere.

Air Purification:
The combination of lemon and salt also acts as a natural air purifier. As the lemon slices release their pleasant fragrance, they effectively mask unpleasant odors, making the room smell fresh and clean. Additionally, the antibacterial properties of lemon help in reducing airborne microbes and allergens.

The Simple Steps
To harness the benefits of this simple yet effective trick, follow these steps:

Step 1: Gather your materials
One fresh lemon
A small plate
A pinch of salt
A knife to cut the lemon
Step 2: Cut the lemon into four slices
Use the knife to cut the lemon into four equal slices. Be careful not to cut yourself, as lemons can be slippery.
Step 3: Sprinkle salt on the lemon slices
Take a pinch of salt and sprinkle it evenly on each lemon slice. The salt will help activate the lemon’s purifying properties.
Step 4: Place the lemon slices in the center of your room
Find a central location in your room and arrange the lemon slices on the plate. Ideally, this should be a spot where you spend a significant amount of time, such as the living room or bedroom.

The Benefits of Lemon and Salt

Improved Air Quality: Lemons are natural air purifiers. As they release their refreshing scent, they can help eliminate odors and create a more pleasant living environment.

Stress Reduction: The aroma of lemon is known for its calming and mood-enhancing properties. It can help reduce stress and anxiety, creating a more peaceful atmosphere.

Negative Energy Cleansing: Salt is believed to absorb negative energy and ions, making the room feel lighter and more positive. This can be especially beneficial if you’ve been feeling stressed or tense.

Enhanced Focus and Productivity: A clean and fresh environment can boost your concentration and productivity. When your surroundings are clutter-free and pleasant, you may find it easier to stay focused and motivated.

Conclusion
Simple natural remedies like cutting a lemon into four slices with salt and placing them in the center of your room can have a surprisingly positive impact on your life. This easy-to-implement trick can improve air quality, reduce stress, cleanse negative energy, and enhance your overall well-being. Give it a try and see how this ancient practice can bring a refreshing change to your living space and, subsequently, to your life. Remember, it’s often the simplest solutions that can make the most significant difference.

Protect Your Black Cat During the Halloween Season

Black Pet Safety this Halloween Season  (from PetMd)

image

“I wish it were mere myth. Though dogs are usually not the target of Halloween season pranksters, black cats have historically suffered abuse during this time of year.

When it happens, it’s usually at the hands of those who consider burning, hanging or otherwise torturing felines an appropriate form of “celebration.”

The cultural drive behind this gruesome activity hearkens back to the superstitions surrounding black cats as harbingers of evil. However, this modern twist on the classic smacks more of the psychopathic than it does the traditional fear-based behavior our ancestors engaged in.

Though black “Halloween”-style cats seem to be prized by these sadists, all cats should be considered potential prey for this seasonal attack. And it’s not just Halloween night, though that’s the day I always urge my cat-owning clients to be most on the alert. Cats have also been known to be victimized in the weeks leading up to the date.

Every year, the news media reports on these crimes against cats, most of which seem to be forgotten by the time the next season rolls around. So here’s where I offer you this advice:

If possible, keep all cats (especially black cats) indoors during the month of October –– especially at night, when most of the predation seems to occur.

Keep bright collars on your cats so it’s clear they are owned and loved. Believe it or not, even the most evil-minded of humans among us can muster the occasional bout of conscience.

Keep an eye out for suspicious behavior in your neighborhood, whether you own a cat or not. Now that fewer children engage in traditional trick-or-treating, the streets are emptier and quieter. Consider keeping a special neighborhood vigil on Halloween to protect your closest neighbors’ pets.

If you expect trick-or-treaters, keep all your pets indoors and well-contained. Whether they’re in crates or in a bedroom, make sure they are unable to run outside. This is a big risk during Halloween, when costumed invaders come a-knocking, causing stress for dogs and cats across the country.”

Energy & Information Update

Greetings Everyone,

Its been a long time! Many of you know that technology is not my favorite thing (I’d much rather be doing my work with people) so I forget to be consistent with it.  I have received many requests to reinstate my quarterly newsletters (I haven’t done them in quite a few years, however, you can find them in the archives).  I will likely provide them again in the future – in the meantime I will try to post more regularly here.  Channelings come through how they are meant to be but please feel free to email me the topics you would like to see here.

Following is an energetic channeling that just unexpectedly popped out of me this morning. Literally. I was doing something and heard “Get a pencil,” so I did (I have always written them with pencil when they come through – I have no idea why but it is how I am guided to do it):

It has been such a transitory time – for me, and everyone else. It has been exciting, horrendous, joyful, painful and completely transformative.  This energy has been happening in it’s various form(s) for years. It is ending.  Finally!  Not that its over but we have entered the phase where we actually see the work, the changes, the growth taking shape and making sense.  We are beginning to understand the process – past, present, and moving forward.  It is a new energy.  One that most are unfamiliar with.  We’ve learned so much the past several years – don’t put it aside as you venture forward in your path.  Listen to your heart, your soul – be honest with yourself.  There is only one you.  You are your own best friend so please remember to treat yourself that way.  Our future is brighter and energetically lighter than it has been.  So don’t be afraid to take the step(s) forward into the unknown.  You have what you need, you can learn what you don’t know – just move forward with honesty, integrity and compassion for yourself and for others.  You are supported.  Trust yourself… and enjoy the journey.

As always, if I can be of assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact me at 818/812-7025, omnasztra@aol.com or via website.

10 Natural Remedies Mentioned In The Bible

I wanted to share this interesting and informative post with you…

10 Natural Remedies Mentioned In The Bible
by Katherine Marko (thealternativedaily.com)

The original accounts in the Bible were not generally written, but rather told repeatedly — handed down generation after generation — before eventually being written down. So, it’s pretty remarkable that the natural remedies mentioned in the Bible are still being used thousands of years later. Let’s have a look at some ancient medicinal plants recorded in scriptures, and their power to heal various conditions, many of which still apply today.

Aloe Vera

It’s no surprise that aloe is mentioned in the Bible since it’s one of the oldest plants on record due to its medicinal properties and health benefits. When the Bible speaks of aloe, it’s likely referring to an aromatic extract used for healing and embalming. Today, however, you’re more apt to find aloe sitting on a kitchen counter, ready to be used topically for burns, sunburns, cuts and skin irritations. When applied, aloe gel promotes healing, and has anesthetic and antibacterial properties that increase blood or lymph flow in the small vessels surrounding the wound.

But, aloe juice is also used orally. According to research published in The British Journal of General Practice, aloe juice may be helpful for lowering blood glucose in diabetic patients as well as for reducing blood lipid levels in those with abnormally high fat in the blood. Other research published in the Journal of Environmental Science and Health suggests that aloe contains antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal properties that help rid the body of toxins and invading pathogens.

Frankincense

In the Bible, frankincense was used for ancient rituals.
In the Bible, frankincense was bestowed upon the baby Jesus. Because of this, frankincense was best known for ceremonial offerings and ancient rituals. Today, it’s still regarded as an important spiritual incense.

Frankincense comes from the gummy sap that oozes out of the Boswellia trees when the bark is cut. The resin hardens and is scraped off the trunk in tear-shaped droplets. Interestingly, it’s edible and often chewed like gum, according to The History Channel.

Frankincense oil is used by either inhaling it or absorbing it through the skin and is usually mixed with a carrier oil. It has powerful healing properties and when inhaled can be used to calm and improve anxiety. Other benefits of frankincense include:

Reducing inflammation
Increasing spiritual awareness
Boosting immunity
Fighting infections
Healing the skin
Reducing acne and diminishing scarring
And, according to a study published in Biomed Central, it may even contain potential cancer-fighting properties.

Garlic

Hebrews relied on garlic, believing that it increased virility. Therefore, as directed by Genesis, they used it to “be fruitful and multiply.” In fact, there are five properties to garlic that hold particular significance to those of the Jewish faith. It is consumed on Fridays (Shabbat) for these reasons:

It keeps the body warm
Brightens the face
Increases semen
Kills parasites
It fosters love and removes jealousy
But garlic has been used as both food and medicine in many cultures for thousands of years. Today, garlic is used to help prevent a number of diseases such as hardening of the arteries, high cholesterol and high blood pressure. It’s also thought to boost the immune system and even protect against cancer.

Anise

While anise does appear in the Bible, some scholars believe the word “anise” actually refers to “dill.” Nevertheless, in biblical times, anise was so highly prized that it was often used as a payment of taxes in Palestine.

Today, anise is commonly used in herbal remedies to break up congestion and ease coughing. It can also be used to help with digestion and as an anti-flatulence agent. It’s usually taken by crushing the seeds into a tea.

Cassia

In the days of the Bible, cassia was a precious commodity.
Cassia, as written in the Bible, resembled modern day cinnamon. It was generally used as a holy anointing oil, but it was also used in perfumery and even as a precious commodity. Today, cassia is ground into cinnamon. And, according to a British study, it’s been shown to reduce fasting blood sugar levels. It also harbors great potential as an anti-diabetic.

Myrrh

Like frankincense, gum was collected from myrrh and pressed into cakes and used in perfumery. Myrrh was sold as a spice, a stimulant and expectorant. It was also sold as incense and as an ingredient in salve, for the purification of the dead.

Today, myrrh is highly valued in aromatherapy for its sedative and antidepressant properties, and as a promoter of spiritual feelings. Myrrh oil works well against coughs, colds and sore throats. It also helps relieve congestion and expels phlegm. Other benefits include:

Promoting digestive health like diarrhea, indigestion, flatulence and hemorrhoids
Relief from toothaches, gingivitis and mouth ulcers
Immune boosting properties that help protect your body from infections

Mustard

One of Jesus’ most famous parables referred to the mustard seed, most likely because mustard grew so abundantly in Palestine. Today, according to Organic Facts, mustard can be used to relieve muscular pains, psoriasis, ringworm, contact dermatitis and respiratory disorders.

Mint

In Biblical times, mint was used in the domestic economy as a condiment and also as a medicine, according to BibleHub. Today, mint is used as a breath freshener, a palate cleanser and it promotes digestion. In fact, if you have a digestive upset, a cup of mint tea provides fast relief. According to research, mint can soothe nausea and even help against motion sickness. It’s also effective for clearing congestion and loosening phlegm, suggests the University of Maryland Medical Center.

Bitter herbs

Bitter herbs are essentially any herb or plant that possesses a bitter taste. Historically, people have used bitter herbs for ceremony, cooking and medicine. The Bible speaks of bitter herbs accompanying lamb and unleavened bread. Bitter herbs consisted of plants such as chicory, bitter cresses, hawkweeds, sow-thistles and wild lettuces, which grew abundantly in the peninsula of Sinai, Palestine and Egypt. Today, bitter herbs are used medicinally to help treat urinary tract infections, kidney stones, fluid retention, achy joints and gout.

Balm

In the Bible, balm gum was used as incense, and the leaves and berries were used in medicine.
In the Bible, balm was highly prized and celebrated for its medicinal qualities. Extracted from the balsam tree, it was extremely fragrant and extremely valuable. It was actually referred to as the “Balm of Gilead” and held major ceremonial, economic and political importance. The gum was used as incense, and its leaves and berries were used in medicine. Today, according to ISA Ontario, balm can be made into a tea to relieve respiratory congestion and sore throats.

There you have it! There are 10 of the most popular medicinal plants of Biblical times, used for ceremony, perfumery, sustenance and remedies. Some things never change.

Awareness. Recognition. Appreciation. Gratitude.

Good Morning everyone! Awareness. Recognition. Appreciation. Gratitude. Please practice these states of being daily. Far too often we are unaware of the many Blessings (tiny to very big) that we have in our lives. We don’t notice them or take them for granted. As humans we easily notice the problems, issues, things/situations we don’t have – please learn to notice the positive just as easily. I have been witness to lives changing completely with one unexpected event. I was reminded of this again today. You have more than you think. Allow yourselves to notice… please. 🙏💖🙏

The Current Energy

Many of my clients are feeling off balance, blocked, overwhelmed.  The energy is tough right now – there is no way around that.  It will pass but may take a little bit of time. We have moved into new energy but we haven’t physically caught up to it yet.  World events do not help – they pull in so much fear, anger, sadness and this is impacting everyone in many different ways.  Now is the time that you really have to take care of yourself spiritually, physically, mentally using whatever tools, methods, rituals you use. This needs to be done on a daily basis no matter how busy you are.  It does not have to be elaborate.  I am not going into detail on methods because everyone is different and has different beliefs and practices. Tend your own light and let it shine and guide you through this.  Many of you are in helping fields so think of the daily self-care as a parent putting the oxygen mask on first before helping their child.  Remember to Play, Love & Laugh!

Be Well, Be Blessed….

Breath Meditation

Following is a very good and informative article on breath meditation by Betsy Rabyor.

Posted on March 25, 2014 by betsy rabyor  phoenixtools.org/breath-meditation

Instructions for Breath Meditation

  1. Find a quiet place as free of distractions as possible, no telephones, computers or TV. Nature is great if you can do it there.
  2. Sit or stand comfortably in a relaxed manner, then close your eyes. With standing your energy is highest, sitting it is lower and lying is lowest. Lying is often not recommended because one has a tendency to fall asleep. The most important however is that you are comfortable and let go of controlling your body completely and are relaxed as possible.  Sitting with straight spine and with crossed legs is helpful to open channels in legs and spine, but realize if you are not used to this it can take some time before this is comfortable for you. You can lie down to meditate if you are too tense while sitting, or do it in a warm bathtub if your mind is especially active, as can be with anxiety. Later you can progress to other positions, as it suits you. If you have a lot of stress or body tension, it can be beneficial to do a walk or some exercise before doing the meditation session to release built up tension.
  3. Then simply put your focus on FEELING your breathing on any point you like along the channel of breath moving in and out of your body, but stick to one focal point. Some like to put the focus on the breath as it comes in and goes out the nostril, others in the lungs as they expand and contract, others in the diaphragm area or belly. The main thing to know is that ‘breathing’ happens automatically and it doesn’t need ‘your mental help or assistance’, that’s why it’s such a good focal point – it doesn’t need your assistance at all – you can totally let go of trying to control anything. Keep your focus on the FEELING of your breath moving  in and out, which doesn’t need your thoughts or mind. Don’t try to manipulate or change your breathing or try to make it someway it is not naturally. When you do this, then you are using your mind to make it be different that what it is, and it’s exactly the opposite of meditation. In true meditative state you do not use the mind. Keep it simple by keeping your focus on feeling your breathing happening in your body, which is the focal pointin this meditation.
  4. Now it will happen in your session, that you will get distracted from feeling your breath and when that occurs what has happened is that you are likely busy thinking. It is possible you can do a meditation session, thinking the entire time and not even realize you did that until it’s over. All of this is normal and totally okay. You only need to be aware that ‘thinking’ has happened. Don’t analyze your thoughts or it will trigger more thoughts and you will get caught in a circle of thinking. To stop thinking, you only need to set your attention back on the focal point, even if you can only hold it for a few seconds this is good. Don’t be critical about yourself on how  you are doing. Again this is thinking and will trigger more thoughts and strong reaction of feeling inadequate or that you are doing it wrong, etc. Drop all this! Non-stop mind-chatter is the state where we all start and it takes some time for thinking to subside and for you to be able to hold the focal point longer. The more you practice, the better you will get at noticing when thinking happens and you lose focus. You ability to direct attention away from thinking and not clinging to thoughts and reset your attention back to your focal point will get better over time as well. To help let go of your desire to think, it can help to give yourself a reminder: I am aware I was thinking. Right Now is NOT my time for thinking, I’m meditating NOW, there will be plenty of time to think about ‘this issue’ later. If something comes up that you feel you need to think about, like an insight or something you don’t want to forget, write it down on a piece of paper so you can think about it AFTER the meditation is done.
  5. You repeat like this the entire session. The most beneficial length of time for meditation is 45 minutes to one hour, because at the 45 minute mark this is state of maximum vibration increase and where the strongest healing reactions happen. Meditation is best done twice per day, before starting one’s day and before one goes to bed. To get a result from meditation, you must do it frequently, at least once per day. Think of it more as ‘preventative medicine’ you do each day, like brushing your teeth, for your mental health and well being, see it as a lifelong practice. Also please don’t give up when you first start, because you find it difficult to do. This is normal, and one will want to stop it. Stick with it at least twice per day for one month, and you will for sure get a result and then want to continue on with it.

Benefits of Meditation

The benefit of practicing meditation is becoming more aware of oneself and becoming more efficient with the use of your essential energy. You gradually learn to focus better and not waste time with distractions or useless turning around in circles doing things, which aren’t really essential, meaningful or that which make you happy. You also will become more insightful and creative. The other thing to know is that when you meditate, when your mind is resting, then you are healing, this happens all by itself. Basically, when the mind rests (just like deep sleep), neurons in the brain are enhanced, repaired and rerouted to more efficient patterns. Later these changes will be reflected in the body as the cells replace themselves, and you will see the signs of healing happening. Healing or transformation of the personality is happening with the meditative state, and the newest aspects you’ve accumulated in your personality will be healed first, and the first last at the end of this process. Thus one can expect that the first things to be healed are often beliefs, concepts, or intellectual aspects, then followed by emotional aspects and finally by physical aspects. With enough time spent in ‘effective’ meditation (seconds of no-thought), it will eventually result in a complete healing of all systems of your body, no matter what kinds of mental, emotional or physical problems you currently have. Healing happens slowly, as it took much time to build up the state of personality you have in your body, which is ultimately the cause of all your problems, it will take some time to transform that old structure to the new and healthy one. Be satisfied with your daily progress, growing takes its time and can’t be forced or go as fast as you want it to be. Just know you are healing, each time you meditate. Don’t get trapped into the desire to be somebody or to develop super powers or get mesmerized by ‘healing reactions’, which happen during this process. As your central nervous system is being changed in the brain, this can cause reactions that seem ‘unearthly’, with seeing of images, visions, or seeing sparkly lights or hearing tones in the ears, etc. These are simply side-effects or symptoms of healing, and one should not try to make them happen, thinking that by doing so, one is getting somewhere or developing into another kind of entity… This kind of want is a desire of the ego to get confirmation for a new kind of spiritual image. If you think this might be happening, drop all that, reread the instructions, keep it simple.

Regular Practice Will Get Results

To get a result you must practice regular and it takes some time to get used to doing the practice. The thinking will come in heavy at first and every excuse will be given to say this is not working or this is not worth it, etc. Stick with it twice a day if possible for at least 3 weeks, and then it might become a habit you don’t want to miss. Slowly, you get results. When you start to get results, then you will know why you want to continue to do it. But before that happens, it’s sort of like ‘forcing yourself’ to do it. Keep it simple, just do it.

Why does meditation practice remove stress?

The reason meditation practice reduces stress is because stress is caused by thinking. It’s like you think all these things – re: all you have to do, and you don’t have time to do it, then there’s a conflict, the muscles hold tension with energy charges built up for action but you can’t do it, thus you accumulate stress. Thinking goes a lot faster then what you can physically do, so the more you think things should be different than what they are, which is most of the time with thoughts, then the more stress you build up. As you learn to become more aware of thinking and emotions and body tension from continued daily practice of meditation, as you get better at tuning into what happening inside you, you will start to learn more about your basic make-up, personality, awareness and body and how all of you works. This is known as ‘self-knowledge’, which will allow you to take get insights and realize steps in rising awareness or ability to be consciously present to what is happening ‘right now’. Eventually you will get better at accepting what is happening ‘right now’ and learning to respond to it as needed, versus spending so much time thinking about the past or the future which is not here. So you see, with regular meditation practice you will stop building up stress in the first place, you will become better able to catch that over active thinking pattern when it happens and be able to ‘set it aside’ and simply breath – even during the day – thus you will also grow in your ability to focus your essential energy and control everything about your life. .

It’s a very important life skill to learn how to control the reactions of thinking and emotions and physical actions. All that a human can do, the first thing that always happens is thought, this precedes all else, so becoming aware of thinking is paramount to have true will power and focus and control of yourself. When one’s thinking is overactive, usually certain thoughts are repeating of a certain nature, which create an emotional energy in the body according to the underlying nature or tone of the thoughts. Thinking is part of the nervous system and is what allows us to act, so just prior to a movement in body, energy is built up in the appropriate muscles as an electric charge to allow us that movement. So think, emotion, then act. When one is thinking, one is building emotional energy in the muscles, if one doesn’t act upon that which is set up, and then this is ‘stress’. Basically charges are in the muscles, but it is not released through action. By learning to only think when needed – when one needs to take an action, then one becomes more energy efficient, not building up unnecessary energy in the body when it’s not needed.

September 2011

Greetings,

Happy Fall Equinox to You!

This is a time of breakthroughs and transformation.  Are you pointed in the direction you would like to be?  If not, this is the time to adjust.

The energy of the past few months has been intense.  It has helped so many of us to really look at what is, and what isn’t, working in our lives.  People are looking at their lives, and deeply examining their hopes, dreams, and aspirations – noting the gaps, if any, between what their life “should” look like, and what it actually is.  These reflections have resulted in many releases, altering of paths, restructuring and rebalancing of energy.  There is a great deal of unexpected joy and turmoil in this journey.  It is both unnerving and exciting!  You may not be able to control many of the events, circumstances and people in your life, but you can control how they impact you and how you react.

At this time it is so important to be in a place of honesty and openness with yourself.  It is how you will get to where you want to go.  Wandering is fun but not very effective. Consciously choose your path, and your life.  Make it as beautiful, complicated, or simple as you would like it to be.  Please remember… you will move forward, one way or another.

How you choose to experience it is up to you.

As always, if I can help you, or be of service in any way – please don’t hesitate to contact me.

Be Blessed in your journey…

Lots of Light & Love,

Following is some information on the Autumnal Equinox, the 11-11-11 Crystal Skulls event in Los Angeles, Spiritual Cinema Circle, products by Sage Sirena, and Whole Person Magazine.

Enjoy…

The Autumnal Equinox

The word equinox comes from the Latin words for “equal night.” The fall and spring equinoxes are the only days of the year in which the Sun crosses the celestial equator. From here on out, the temperatures begin to drop and the days start to get shorter.

The September Equinox Explained  (www.timeanddate.com/calendar/september-equinox.html)

The September equinox occurs at 09:04 (or 9:04am) Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) on September 23, 2011. It is also referred to as the autumnal or fall equinox in the northern hemisphere, as well as the spring or vernal equinox in the southern hemisphere (not to be confused with the March equinox). This is due to the seasonal contrasts between both hemispheres throughout the year.

What happens during the September equinox?

The sun crosses the celestial equator and moves southward in the northern hemisphere during the September equinox. The location on the earth where the sun is directly overhead at solar noon is known as the subsolar point. The subsolar point occurs on the equator during the September equinox and March equinox. At that time, the earth’s axis of rotation is perpendicular to the line connecting the centers of the earth and the sun. This is the time when many people believe that the earth experiences 12 hours of day and night. However, this is not exactly the case.

Dispelling the “exactly 12 hours of daylight” Myth:  During the equinox, the length of night and day across the world is nearly, but not entirely, equal. This is because the day is slightly longer in places that are further away from the equator, and because the sun takes longer to rise and set in these locations. Furthermore, the sun takes longer to rise and set farther from the equator because it does not set straight down – it moves in a horizontal direction.

The Autumnal Equinox in the northern hemisphere, has been linked to many myths and superstitions in history. It is a time of the year when festivals and celebrations of different faiths occur around the world.

According to myth, it is believed that the September equinox is a time of balance when “day and night are equal” and that by some mystical force one can balance eggs on their end on these days. Some believe that one can only balance an egg within a few hours before or after the exact time of the equinox.

According to Jewish superstition, when Abraham prepared to sacrifice Isaac at the autumnal equinox, and blood appeared on his knife. Another superstition relating to the four Tekufot, which refers to the equinoxes and solstices, is that during the September equinox a mysterious precipitation poisoned all water, which was not be drawn or drunk.

In many cultures, the September equinox is a sign of autumn in the northern hemisphere. In Greek mythology autumn begins as the goddess Persephone returns to the underworld to live with her husband Hades. It has also been believed that magically it was a good time to enact rituals for protection and security as well as reflect on successes or failures from the previous months. Animals associated with the autumnal equinox in the northern hemisphere are dogs, wolves and birds of prey. Mythical creatures associated with this time of the year include gnomes, minotaurs and the sphinx.

Higan, or Higan-e, is a week of Buddhist services observed in Japan during both the September and March equinoxes when day and night are equal at length. Both equinoxes have been national holidays since the Meiji period (1868-1912). Before World War II, they were known as koreisai, or festivals of the Imperial ancestors. After the war, when the national holidays were renamed, they became simply spring and autumn equinoxes. Higan means the “other shore” and refers to the spirits of the dead reaching Nirvana after crossing the river of existence. It celebrates the spiritual move from the world of suffering to the world of enlightenment and is a time to remember the dead by visiting, cleaning and decorating their graves and reciting sutras. Buddhist prayers, rice balls and sushi are offered. It is a time for the Japanese to worship their imperial ancestors.

The Christian church replaced many early pagan equinox celebrations with Christianized observances over the years. For example, Michaelmas (also known as the Feast of Michael and All Angels), on September 29, fell near the September equinox because it was associated with the beginning of autumn. During the middle ages it was celebrated as a holy day of obligation but the tradition waned in the 18th century. It is still celebrated in some places as the “festival of strong will” during the autumnal equinox.

On the autumnal equinox, many pagans celebrate Mabon as one of the eight Sabbats (a celebration based on the cycles of the sun). Mabon celebrates the second harvest and the beginning of winter preparations. It is the time to respect the impending dark while giving thanks to the sunlight.

In China the Mid-Autumn Festival, also known as the Moon Festival, is celebrated around (but not precisely) the time of the September equinox. This occasion dates back more than 3000 years and occurs around the time of the full moon. It celebrates the abundance of the summer’s harvest and one of the main foods is the mooncake filled with lotus, sesame seeds, a duck egg or dried fruit. This tradition originated from the ancient tradition of making offerings to the sun in the spring and to the moon in the autumn. It is also a time for families to get together and people often travel long distances to be with their loved ones. The streets are decorated with lanterns, incenses are burned and fire dragon dances take place.

THE LEGEND OF THE 13 SACRED CRYSTAL SKULLS prophesizes that at a time of great crisis for all humanity and planet earth, the sacred crystal skulls will come together to reveal information vital to the very survival of the human race.

The Time is Now!

At the 11-11-11 Crystal Skulls World Mysteries Gateway Event, thirteen ancient crystal skulls will be present with many newer crystal skulls. There will be a Mystery Skull unveiled at the event.

The Event will cover two days of speakers including ancient crystal skull guardians with their skulls, Mayan Elders and Crystal Skull Researchers plus prayers, ceremony, music and celebration. On November 13, you will have an opportunity to have breakout sessions and private sessions with individual crystal skulls that you resonate with.

The ancient crystal skulls contain information about the past history of our planet and the future of mankind. Synergistically they create a vortex that activates human consciousness revealing greater perceptions of reality. They are the manifestation of spirit in form now helping to shift the magnetic frequency of the earth.

Along with our regular program speakers and presenters, Oracle Stone Productions is humbly honored to present and welcome 13 members of the Maya Itza Council of Priests and Elders from Yucatan, Mexico and other spiritual leaders who will be joining us at this 11.11.11 Crystal Skulls World Mysteries Gateway Event.

This year’s 11-11-11 Gateway in Los Angeles Event will be setting the foundations for the Maya Itza New Age starting in 2012.

This is the only place on earth this year where so many ancient crystal skulls and Mayan Elders will come together. If you see yourself as a part of the consciousness shift taking place on this planet, it is time to be at this event.
